Take Individual Responsibility and Volunteer Action to Promote the "3-E's"

  1. Educate - Educate youth as well as community members and leaders about how Graffiti Hurts, how it can be prevented and how everyone can help.
  2. Erase - Immediate removal - within 24-48 hours - is the key to successful graffiti prevention In the City of Los Angeles, call 3-1-1 or visit the Office of Community Beautification website to submit a request for service.
  3. Enforce - Graffiti cleanup takes a big chunk out of municipal budgets and is the most common type of property vandalism (35%) according to the U.S. Department of Justice Bureau of Justice Statistics. The Los Angeles Police Department has youth programs that provide positive alternatives.
