- Advocated for improved design of Jefferson Square new development mixed use (residential with ground floor retail) at 4th and Jefferson
- Advocated for improved design of Jefferson Park Terrace new development residential on Western
- Advocated for improved redevelopment at Crenshaw and Jefferson (now Union Bank, Meto Health Care, and 99 Cents Only Store)
- Advocates for our community regarding oil drilling and oil drill site improvements
- Advocated on behalf of our community’s historic aesthetics to place cell phone antennas on roof of the Public Storage Building at Pico and Crenshaw instead of on the surface of the building’s facade
- Supporting our neighborhood HPOZs
Neighborhood Improvements
- Supported landscaping on both ends of 4th Avenue Pedestrian Bridge
- Supporting the re-landscaping of the South Seas House
- Supported landscaping for bumpouts on Arlington at 20th and 21st and at the 20th/Manhattan Place gate in Western Heights neighborhood
- Planted over 100 trees along Washington Corridor and its residential streets
- Supported Jefferson Park HPOZ signage
- Supported the lighting of the Jefferson Park arcs at Jefferson and Western (still under construction)
- Supported the La Salle Median project (still under construction)
Community Building
- Sponsored a holiday extravaganza for more than 450 youth and adults people in Leslie Shaw Park – December 2014
- Continuing sponsor of programs and activities at Benny H. Potter/West Adams Avenues Memorial Park
- Supports CD 10’s annual Movies In The Park at Benny H. Potter/West Adams Avenues Memorial Park
- Supports our neighborhood block club and association activities and community organizations
