The Los Angeles Homeless count is fast approaching and volunteers are needed to help conduct the count throughout the city. This very important census plays a critical role in allocating assistance where it’s most needed. It also doubles as an opportunity for you to get directly involved in ensuring that the homeless crisis gets the attention it needs to implement the solutions necessary to provide housing and services to those who need it most.
Won’t you please visit www.theycountwillyou.org and sign up to register to participate in the Homeless Count taking place on Thursday, January 24, 2019. Select Holman United Methodist Church as your site, and use zip code 90018. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
2019 marks the year for the Neighborhood Council elections, and your chance to have a seat at the table in the room where it happens. In its 20th year, the Neighborhood Council system has been a catalyst for community engagement in local government throughout neighborhoods of Los Angeles. Being elected to the UNNC Board gives you a front row seat to matters that impact your community. You’ll want to be a part of this!
Learn more about Neighborhood Councils and the upcoming elections by viewing this video and prepare to throw your hat in the ring. Candidate filings begin in February. The time is now!
