Spring has sprung and brings with it an assortment of super blooms and super activities for the whole family to enjoy. Come out and meet your neighbors and UNNC representatives at the April 27th meet and greet in Jefferson Park, and stroll along Washington Blvd, and discover the many specialty businesses and art galleries during the 2nd Annual Walk on Washington, on May 4th.
Find your inner green thumb at the Taste of Spring, sponsored by the West Adams Neighborhood Association, or rack up your volunteer hours at the Adult Literacy Program at Jefferson Park Library.
As we gear up for the June 15th Neighborhood Council Elections, mark your calendars for the May 29th, Meet the Candidate Forum, to be held at the Council District 10 office, located at 1819 Western Ave. You’ll be able to engage with the candidates running for the United Neighborhoods Neighborhood Council Board seats, and hear how they plan to continue to make the historical communities of West Adams, Jefferson Park and Arlington Heights the best place to live in Los Angeles.
Don’t forget we meet every first Thursday of the month, and be sure to attend our June Board meeting where we’ll recognize the contributions of our outgoing Board members.
