UNNC Board Members, LAPD Officers, and the Lakers Girls come together on National Night Out 2019

UNNC Board Members, LAPD Officers, and the Lakers Girls come together on National Night Out 2019 to support community-building and promote police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie.

Last week, the United Neighborhoods Neighborhood Council (UNNC) engaged its stakeholders by organizing and financially supporting two movies in the park – both in the same week!

First, on Tuesday, August 6th, UNNC hosted a Movie in the Park at Leslie Shaw Park in celebration of National Night Out. The event in Jefferson Park was a great a success, with stakeholders of all ages enjoying music, food, refreshments, and of course, The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part.

Additionally, UNNC contributed to City Council President Herb Wesson’s Friday, August 9th Movies in the Park at Benny H. Potter Park. UNNC is honored to have the opportunity to partner with our city departments and give our stakeholders much needed back-to-school supplies and a safe and fun Friday night.

We here at UNNC are already looking forward to next summer’s Movies in the Park!
