This Friday, July 21, THREE great animated films will screen (for free) in UNNC-area parks — Pick your fave!
These outdoor screenings will offer up family fun, food (snacks and some food truck fare), music before dark and resources. Grab your neighbors and friends, and bring a blanket for an evening of kid-friendly entertainment.
Council District 10 is presenting Puss In Boots at the Benny H. Potter West Adams Avenues Park Annex, the first of a series of Movies in the Park events at various parks throughout the council district.
Meanwhile, Council District 8 is launching “South LA Strong Movies in the Park,” also starting this Friday evening and running all summer at multiple locations. Near UNNC’s footprint you can catch Hotel Transylvania: Transformania at Loren Miller Park (Halldale and 27th), or Super Mario Bros. at MLK Recreation Center (Western and 39th). Each of these events’ festivities begin at 6 p.m. with the movies starting at dark.
