UNNC is partnering by providing refreshments.
100 Fruit Tree Adoptions
Thanks to the South LA Tree Coalition, 100 fruit trees will be given away during the event — all designated specifically for Jefferson Park (90018) residents. Pre-registration is required. Scan the code on the flyer below OR go to this link: SLATC Fruit Tree Registration Form
* Although the form on the link says “90018” if you live within UNNC’s boundaries you will qualify.
Come Help Plant Trees Around Our Local School
At the event, volunteers and residents will come together to plant 28 new street trees, enjoy food, music, and family-friendly activities, and learn about local resources that support environmental equity.
This effort is funded in part by LASAN’s BeLeaf in Equity grant, a USDA Forest Service Urban and Community Forestry Grant program dedicated to increasing tree canopy coverage and advancing climate resilience in communities disproportionately impacted by extreme heat and limited green space.
