We are celebrating the Park’s re-dedication that was held ten years ago this month! Leslie Shaw park was re-envisioned and redesigned through a community residents-led initiative in 2016.

Please join your neighbors for this event honoring Ann and Leslie Shaw (first African American Postmaster of a major U.S. city, appointed in 1963 by President John F. Kennedy). Enjoy Entertainment and a Kids’ Corner.  Community Resource Vendors include: L.A. Bicycle Academy, Los Angeles Public Library, Department of Aging, AADAP, St. John’s Community Health, Audacity Global, Covered California, Friends of the Jefferson Park HPOZ, Pot Gardens Pottery Studio, CJ Fitness, Sound Bath, Gang Reduction and Youth Development (GRYD), and a Yoga booth. (Parking will be available at the lot on the corner of Jefferson and 2nd Avenue).  Please share with your neighbors and friends!
