Los Angeles – Residents, community and neighborhood representatives, and the public are encouraged to attend a meeting of the Los Angeles Police Commission on September 26, 2017, beginning at 9:00 a.m. in the Edward R. Roybal Public Works Session Room 350, in City Hall.
The agenda for the Police Commission meeting will include a final report from the Policing Project in regards to their assessment and recommendations on the Department’s policy regarding release of video footage. The Police Commission and public are expected to learn more about results of the City-wide survey conducted earlier this year.
Matthew M. Johnson, Commission President stated, “As we move forward with the final acquisition of body-worn cameras for all patrol officers to utilize by the end of this year, my fellow Police Commissioners and I want to provide the public the opportunity to continue engaging on this very important public safety topic.”
