Jazz in the Avenues – 7th Ave

Fifteen years ago, a FREE event was created that changed the dynamics of the largest historic neighborhoods in Los Angeles. The West Adams Avenues Jazz Under the Stars. As the first culturally diverse neighbors gathered with picnic baskets and lawn chairs, local musicians from the community began their music sets. A lot has changed since then. Last year’s event shattered all expectations: • Nearly 4,000 attendees—some coming from as far as Australia • Covered by LA Weekly • Three full nights of music • Dancing in the streets • Activities for children • Dance Contest • Arts, crafts and Jewelry from local artisans • Fabulous Foods from area restaurants/food trucks Three full days of music, starting at 6:30 PM each day and continuing until 11:00PM.
